2013 New Years Nails

So now that I am back, I wanted to continue being apart of the two facebook groups I was in before, which were Adventures In Stamping and Teal Tuesdays. So the challenge for this Sunday of course is New Years. I decided to use 2 coats of Color Club Cadillac Red for my base I chose red because one of my coworkers had told me red is supposed to be good luck. I've heard this before but it was for Chinese New Year, so I'm hoping it will still bring my good luck for our New Year. I then added a coat of China Glaze Golden Enchantment which is a beautiful golden glitter but when you look at it up close you can see the many colors it has in it. I added a top coat layer of Seche Vite then stamped using Konad Special Nail Polish White. For my thumb I used Cheeky plate CH9 a fun and festive champagne bottle with champagne flutes around it and for my ring finger I used Bundle Monster plate BM02 for the big lips and Cheeky plate CH27 for the small lips and kiss, they are supposed to represent the midnight kiss. I hope everyone has a fun and safe New Years!!!
I wanted to show you the beautiful ring my boyfriend gave me for Christmas, no it's not an engagement ring (I'm still waiting for that) it's technically called a promise ring, but I'm the one who chose it and when I had told him it was a promise ring he said to me "oh so what are you promising youself", I swear some guys....but hey at least I got some sort of jewelry.

Fast Track

It's been sooo long. Well so much has happened since I last posted, I went on vacation and saw my bestfriend in Cali. My son loved Disneyland and surpisingly so did my boyfriend. I will always love Disneyland at any age, it was also my first time to California Adventure because the last time I went to Disneyland, Cali Adventure had yet to be built. Anyways, after the vacation I ended up in the ER twice and found out that my ovarian cyst had grown triple the size and that I also had another cyst in my other ovary which was very small, so I had the surgery done to remove them. Thankfully my OBGYN didn't have to remove my whole ovary she was able to preserve most of my right overy and all of my left. After that I didn't feel like doing my nails much, I was always at work or at home too tired to do much. Then Christmas came and my bestfriend was in town and she persuaded me to do my nails and now I'm hooked again. Thanks Leece for giving me that small push I needed. Anyways I know Christmas has already passed but I thought I would show you my nails I did. This is 2 coats of Sinful Colors Nirvana for my base and 1 coat of China Glaze Fast Track. I then stamped with Konad Special Nail Polish White. For my thumb I used Bundle Moster plate BM-222 and for my Ring finger I used Red Angel plate RA-121. I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and enjoy the New Year ahead!

Simple Black Tips

Hi all, sorry I've been MIA for awhile but I've been working my ass off at work doing a whole bunch of overtime so I can have enough spending cash for my vacation which I should add starts today. YAY VACAY TIME!!! So in honor of my vacation I absolutely had to paint my nails. Most women have a simple black dress well this is my version of my simple black tips. For this mani I taped off my tips and used Sinful Colors Black on Black, I then added my favorite tope coat Seche Vite. For my accent nails I used a Read Angel stamping plate sorry folks I don't remember which one and used Konad Special White. I added a Light Blue Rhinestone and there you have it my Simple Black Tips. I'm hoping to start blogging everday again once I get back from vacation. And if any of you are interested we are taking a family road trip down to Cali and stopping in San Jose to visit family, Gilroy Garden Theme Park, Glendale to stay with my best friend Lisa, Then to LA to go to Disneyland & California Adventure, Santa Monica Pier, Venice Beach, Carlsbad to go to Legoland, Bakerfield & Delano to visit more family. Yes we are going to pack that all in 1 week, crazy I know. Have a fantastic weekend readers!!

And here is a swatch of China Glaze Custom Kicks (1 coat):

Coral Cascade

I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend. We had a wonderful Father's Day yesterday. For the first half we hung out at my parents house, ate lunch, ran around outside with my dog, and even went to the park with my brother, sister in law and nephew Kristian. We then had a family BBQ for Allan's side of the family at our apartment and everyone had a good time singing and eating. For Father's Day Allan received money for his tattoo session he had on Saturday and I must say it is coming along great, he has maybe two or three more sessions to go until he has his tribal half sleeve finished. For this mani I was just playing around and wanted to do a glitter gradient. I used Color Club Coral Cascade and sponged on NYX Gold Glitter. Topped with SV.

Here's a swatch of Color Club Coral Cascade:

Challenge Day 15 - Delicate Print

I honestly for the life of me couldn't figure out what I wanted to do for the challenge day. So I tried out different combos and finally had my heart set on this color combo and pattern. I used 1 coat of Borghese Marino, then stamped over with China Glaze GR8 and Bundle Monster image plate BM-214.

And here is a swatch of the beautiful Borghese Marino:

Challenge Day 14 - Flowers

My absolute favorite flower are Stargazer Lillies. In fact my birth month flower (May) are Lillies. I saw this tutorial from Chalkboard Nails and just knew I had to do it. The base is China Glaze White on White, the pink is sponged on Sinful Colors Boom Boom (don't you just love the name?), the dark pink dots are Petites Pink Crush using a dotting tool and the green is Sally Hansen Ivy League.
