Challenge Day 10 - Gradient

Instead of doing just a normal gradient like I am supposed to, I decided since I had already done a gradient for Day 6 Violet, I would just show you a Ombre Mani instead. This was my first attempt at ever doing an Ombre mani and I really like the end results and the fact that it was super easy to do!
For this mani I used: Base Coat: Revlon Base Coat. Base Color: Sinful Colors Nirvana. As the base color got lighter I just added 1-2 drops of China Glaze White on White, and as the base color got darker I just added 1-2 drops of  Sinful Colors Blaack on Black. Top Coat: Seche Vite.

Here is a swatch of Sinful Colors Nirvana.

And here's a little extra an actual Gradient Mani:
For this mani I used Sally Hansen Lightening for the base color and for the sponging I used Sinful Colors Cloud 9 mixed with Warpaint Acid Orange and Sephora by OPI What Aura Gonna Wear? mixed with Icing Neon Pink. This is what I call my Sunset Mani...fitting right? I was going to add palm trees but I couldn't find my image plate with the palm tree and I tried to free hand but it just isn't my forte so I left it alone.

I'm super excited today because I officially go on my mini vacation starting tomorrow, so I just need to get through work today then I have a 4 day weekend to hang with the Birthday Boy. Ahhh still can't believe my baby is turning 3 years old not so much my baby anymore.

Acid Orange

Awww Saturday how I have missed you. I just love the weekend because it allows me to have all day to do my nails (if I want) normally that's not the case since I'm usually out running errands. So here is the post that I was suppose to put up yesterday but instead I was too mesmerized by Fantasy Fire's beuty. Anyways, here is one of the polishes I picked up from Hot Topics Warpaint Acid Orange. I must admit the formula wasn't easy to work with, this was 3 - 4 coats. The most trouble I had was with the cap it was huge and square and hard to hold the brush. The outcome of the polish was a bright in your face neon matte orange. On the lid of the polish it says it's a Black Light Polish, too bad I no longer have my black light, I would have liked to see the effects.

I ended up adding a coat of Seche Vite to see how it would look glossy.

Because it looked so plain Jane I added Color Club Hot Couture a pink based glitter.

Enjoy the weekend!
