Teal Tuesdays - Dotticure

This is going to be a quick post before I get myself and my son ready for bed. I used 1coat of China Glaze Custom Kicks for my base, 1 coat of Pure Ice Oh Baby! over the base, then stamped with Konad Special White using Cheeky image plate CH11 and used my dotting tool along with Sally Hansen Jumpin' Jade, and to top it all off a coat of SV.

Challenge Day 14 - Flowers

 My absolute favorite flower are Stargazer Lillies. In fact my birth month flower (May) are Lillies. I saw this tutorial from Chalkboard Nails and just knew I had to do it. The base is China Glaze White on White, the pink is sponged on Sinful Colors Boom Boom (don't you just love the name?), the dark pink dots are Petites Pink Crush using a dotting tool and the green is Sally Hansen Ivy League.

Adventures in Stamping - A Plate Ending in 9

I haven't had a chance to do a Stamping Sunday challenge in such a long time, I'm happy I was able to do a mani for this challenge beacuse it's Debbie (The Crumpet's) daughters birthday. So we were able to choose either a celebration mani, a plate ending in 9, or a birthday mani. I decided to choose a plate ending in 9. I used Cheeky Plate CH29 and used every image that was on that plate. I used Color Club Pardon My French for my base, stamped with Sally Hansen Sonic Bloom and Sally Hansen Red Chrome. For the tips I taped them off and used, Sally Hansen Sonic Bloom and KleanColor Chunky Holo Fuchsia.

Challenge Day 10 - Gradient

Instead of doing just a normal gradient like I am supposed to, I decided since I had already done a gradient for Day 6 Violet, I would just show you a Ombre Mani instead. This was my first attempt at ever doing an Ombre mani and I really like the end results and the fact that it was super easy to do!

For this mani I used: Base Coat: Revlon Base Coat. Base Color: Sinful Colors Nirvana. As the base color got lighter I just added 1-2 drops of China Glaze White on White, and as the base color got darker I just added 1-2 drops of  Sinful Colors Blaack on Black. Top Coat: Seche Vite.

For this mani I used Sally Hansen Lightening for the base color and for the sponging I used Sinful Colors Cloud 9 mixed with Warpaint Acid Orange and Sephora by OPI What Aura Gonna Wear? mixed with Icing Neon Pink. This is what I call my Sunset Mani...fitting right? I was going to add palm trees but I couldn't find my image plate with the palm tree and I tried to free hand but it just isn't my forte so I left it alone.

I'm super excited today because I officially go on my mini vacation starting tomorrow, so I just need to get through work today then I have a 4 day weekend to hang with the Birthday Boy. Ahhh still can't believe my baby is turning 3 years old not so much my baby anymore. 

Number One Nemesis

Today I decided to take a break from the 31 Day Challenge to show you a mani I did last night. I am just too excited to wait until after the challenge. I decided I wanted to try out my new Amazing Spiderman polishes from OPI. For the base coat I used 2 coats of OPI Number One Nemesis, I then taped each nail and added Sally Hansen Sonic Bloom. I then used SV for my top coat. It's such a fun and super easy mani!

Challenge Day 5 - Blue

I couldn't think of anything clever to do for blue, so I just thought what is something I have yet to do....and here's where I came up with half moons. I loved doing this mani it was very simple to do. I used 2 coats of Sinful Colors Love Nails, used paper reinforcements to make my half moon look and painted over with Sally Hansen Co-Bolt Blue. For my ring and thumb nails I just painted them with opposite colors.

Happy Birthday To Me!

It's my birthday and I am officially 26 years old. This weeks challenge in Teal Tuesdays is Color Blocking, I started off with a base of Nicole By OPI Give Me the First Dance, I then taped my nails and added Sinful Colors Black on Black, Sally Hansen Teal-y Fast, and China Glaze Adore. I finished with white striping tape.
