2013 New Years Nails

So now that I am back, I wanted to continue being apart of the two facebook groups I was in before, which were Adventures In Stamping and Teal Tuesdays. So the challenge for this Sunday of course is New Years. I decided to use 2 coats of Color Club Cadillac Red for my base I chose red because one of my coworkers had told me red is supposed to be good luck. I've heard this before but it was for Chinese New Year, so I'm hoping it will still bring my good luck for our New Year. I then added a coat of China Glaze Golden Enchantment which is a beautiful golden glitter but when you look at it up close you can see the many colors it has in it. I added a top coat layer of Seche Vite then stamped using Konad Special Nail Polish White. For my thumb I used Cheeky plate CH9 a fun and festive champagne bottle with champagne flutes around it and for my ring finger I used Bundle Monster plate BM02 for the big lips and Cheeky plate CH27 for the small lips and kiss, they are supposed to represent the midnight kiss.  I wanted to show you the beautiful ring my boyfriend gave me for Christmas, no it's not an engagement ring (I'm still waiting for that) it's technically called a promise ring, but I'm the one who chose it and when I had told him it was a promise ring he said to me "oh so what are you promising youself", I swear some guys....but hey at least I got some sort of jewelry.

 

Challenge Day 9 - Rainbow

Back to the 31 Day challenge. Day 9 is Rainbow, I was just going to reshow you my mani I did a couple months back which was Rainbow tips but that would be cheating so I decided to recreate a mani I saw from someone else but I honestly can't remember who I saw it from. For each nail I just painted a horizontal line of each color, no taping because I knew already I was going to paint over with black. I used Color Club Cadillac Red, Sinful Colors Cloud 9, Sinful Colors Pull Over, Bonita Green, and Sinful Colors Endless Blue. I then taped each nail differently using striping tape and painted over with my favorite black Sinful Colors Black on Black and voila my Rainbow Mani!

Cinco de Mayo

Yesterday I said I would post my Cinco de Mayo so here it is folks. I just painted the colors of the Mexico flag, I would have put the eagle on but I am a horrible artist so I was frantically searching for an eagle image on one of my image plates and sadly found nothing, so instead of drawing a eagle free hand I just wrote out Mexico on my ring finger. I hope everyone had a Happy Cinco de Mayo, I had a good time watching the Mayweather VS Cotto fight.

Since it is Sunday Stamping I will post my mani later on today.



Challenge Day 1 - Red

So about a month ago a coworker and I set out to start the 31 day challenge only to quit so suddenly. I'm not quite sure why we fell out of it, but we did and now I want to get back into it. So these first posts were done last month when I still had my long nails. For starters here is what the challenge looks like:

Challenge Day 1 - Red
I wanted to create a lace type mani so this is what came to mind.
For the base I used Color Club Cadillac Red, For the lace part I used China Glaze White on White and a dotting tool, and for the thread I used Sinful Colors Black on Black, the dots on the lace are Sally Hansen Red Carpet, and of course I finished with Seche Vite.

Of course I will have to skip Tuesdays and Sundays for my other challenges but I'm really hoping to keep up with this challenge. And woohoo I'm excited for my birthday BBQ later today!
