Bonita Silver

And I'm back...sorry folks for the absence but I have been trying to nurse my broken nails these last few days and I am happy to report they are finally almost all the same length, yay! Unfortunately I wasn't able to do the Teal Tuesday challenge but I do have a treat for you today. Here is 2 coats of Bonita Silver and 3 coats of Color Club Gingerbread. Such a lovely glitter.

Here is a swatch of Bonita Silver:

Bonita White

Here is a quick swatch of Bonita White. This polish was a complete PITA to apply, I might even have to give this polish away now that I'm done swatching it. I really did not want to post this but in order to reach my goal I have to swatch every single polish I own even if I hate it. Bonita White has a pearl finish to it but caution it is VERY streaky!

Bonita Red

My goal is to eventually swatch each one of my nail polishes at least one time, it's hard with all of the challenges and groups I'm involved with, so here and there I throw in some swatches in my blog. At this point I just want to finish swatching the Bonita collection I had bought a long time ago from Ross and I was just going to swatch all at once and just write one post about all of them but it became time consuming and as a full time employee, full time mommy, full time girlfriend and full time friend I just didn't have the time to do all the swatches plus the challenges. Slowly I have been swatching here and there and here my friends is Bonita Red. (I still don't know the names of these colors). This is 1 coat of Bonita Red with a top coat of SV.

Challenge Day 9 - Rainbow

Back to the 31 Day challenge. Day 9 is Rainbow, I was just going to reshow you my mani I did a couple months back which was Rainbow tips but that would be cheating so I decided to recreate a mani I saw from someone else but I honestly can't remember who I saw it from. For each nail I just painted a horizontal line of each color, no taping because I knew already I was going to paint over with black. I used Color Club Cadillac Red, Sinful Colors Cloud 9, Sinful Colors Pull Over, Bonita Green, and Sinful Colors Endless Blue. I then taped each nail differently using striping tape and painted over with my favorite black Sinful Colors Black on Black and voila my Rainbow Mani!

Have you ever tried a Rainbow mani? Thanks for stopping by!

Pink

Last night Allan, myself and my son went out for our Mother's Day Dinner, yes I know Mother's Day isn't until Sunday but we figured it was going to be very crowded at restaurants and I didn't want to have to deal with the wait times. So we went to Claim Jumpers and I got the chicken and ribs which includes a half rack of pork ribs, half of a roasted chicken, grilled veggies, 2 half slices of cheesey garlic bread, and one side of mashed potatos. I was only able to eat the veggies, a quarter of the chicken, and my son and I shared the cheesey bread and mashed potatos. I was sooo full STUFFED that I had to get a box for te rest of the ribs and chicken. I had a great early Mother's Day! When we got home I didn't have the energy to create my rainbow mani so I will be showing you a swatch instead. This is Bonita Pink, I still do not know the names of the colors in this collection since I bought this at Ross for $3.99 I didn't really care to really dig and search for them. I really hated this color and the application was very poor.

Cinco de Mayo

Yesterday I said I would post my Cinco de Mayo so here it is folks. I just painted the colors of the Mexico flag, I would have put the eagle on but I am a horrible artist so I was frantically searching for an eagle image on one of my image plates and sadly found nothing, so instead of drawing a eagle free hand I just wrote out Mexico on my ring finger. I hope everyone had a Happy Cinco de Mayo, I had a good time watching the Mayweather VS Cotto fight.

Since it is Sunday Stamping I will post my mani later on today.

Bonita Gunmetal Gray

Yesterday was my nail polish day off, so I decided I will show you all another swatch. Lately the sun has been peeking out from the clouds here is Seattle and I have been loving. I spent time with my son blowing bubbles and playing with sidewalk chalk creating random pictures. It's been really nice to get out of the house and do new activites with him. The only part that sucked was trying to get the kid to come back inside.

Here is 2 coats of Bonita Gunmetal Gray, the polish ws very streaky and I tried my hardest to even things out but it was not happening.

You can by Packs of Bonita from Ross, but be warned they do not have specific names for the different polishes, so if you have OCD like me you will go crazy trying to google if the polishes actually came with names. I finally gave up last night, yes I am a failure, sorry.

Bonita Green

Good morning and I hope you all enjoyed your weekend, I sure did. The barbeque turned out really good. My parents and brother and his family came over and ate. Normally if we have a family get together it's at my parents house or my brothers house, I usually don't have them over to my place since I live in a apartment and don't have much seating, but we made due.

So I've decided that I really want to try and swatch each and every polish I own, so I might be doing 2 posts a day depending how I feel. I still will continue to do some nail art but I really want to focus on swatching each polish. So here is a brand I picked up from Ross called Bonita, none of the polishes have names so I've just been calling them by their basic color, so here is Bonita Green. This is 2 coats, although I think one more would have done it justice. The formula for me was a little difficult to work with. I added 1 coat of SV.

Rainbow

I wanted to create a rainbow but just didn't have the correct colors. Well here was my attempt.

I then taped off my nails and added tips.

And just because I couldn't leave well enough alone, I used the dotting tool and added a dot of each color. (I really shouldn't have)

I wish I had a pot of gold stamp to show the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.

These are all the colors I used: Black - Sinful Colors Black on Black, Red - Color Club Red, Lilac - Sally Hansen Lively Lilac, Purple - Grape Going!, Yellow -Mellow Yellow, Green - Bonita Green, Blue - Sally Hansen Blue Me Away!, Orange - Sun Kissed, Top Coat - Seche Vite
