Pink

Last night Allan, myself and my son went out for our Mother's Day Dinner, yes I know Mother's Day isn't until Sunday but we figured it was going to be very crowded at restaurants and I didn't want to have to deal with the wait times. So we went to Claim Jumpers and I got the chicken and ribs which includes a half rack of pork ribs, half of a roasted chicken, grilled veggies, 2 half slices of cheesey garlic bread, and one side of mashed potatos. I was only able to eat the veggies, a quarter of the chicken, and my son and I shared the cheesey bread and mashed potatos. I was sooo full STUFFED that I had to get a box for te rest of the ribs and chicken. I had a great early Mother's Day! When we got home I didn't have the energy to create my rainbow mani so I will be showing you a swatch instead. This is Bonita Pink, I still do not know the names of the colors in this collection since I bought this at Ross for $3.99 I didn't really care to really dig and search for them. I really hated this color and the application was very poor.

Neon Pink

Good morning everyone! Before I jump into the polish I just wanna recap on how my weekend went. Friday, Allan and I took the kids to get pictures together, it was the first time for them to take pictures together (besides with the Easter Bunny). They did amazing here is a little sneak peak of the photoshoot. Aren't they just adorable? Allan's daughter is 6 years old, and our son is going to be turning 3 next month.

Then on Saturday I didn't do much just stayed home and played with my polish. Sunday we had a little friend get together, it was real nice we all went to go eat at a place called The Cajun Crawfish. If you have never eaten crawfish I suggest that you do, they are just as yummy as shrimp just a little harder to peel. On to the mani...I saw a dress that inspired me to do this mani, I thought it was gorgeous but just wouldn't look righton me so I decided to turn it into a mani. For this I used 2 coats of Icing Neon Pink (one of these days I'll go back to the store and find out the actual name). I then taped my nails with the design I wanted and used 1 coat of Sinful Colors Black on Black I was having some issues with smearage whenever I would put a top coat so here are some pictures without a top coat.

I finally let it dry enough to add China Glaze Fairy Dust just for a little more shine to it.

And here is a up close look of the design.

How was your weekend, did you do anything out of the norm?

OPI Skull & Glossbones

I wanted to try out a new mani I saw on Caitlin's Creative Corner, she called it a Brush Stroke Mani, I fell in love with her Neon Mani which you could see here so I set out to try it on my own. Unfortunately mine did not turn out fabulous like hers. My mani just turned out uhhhhh what do you call it, NOT good at all. Haha, I hope to revisit this again in the furture and get the hang of it. So here is what I used.
2 coats of OPI Skull & Glossbones for my base, Icing Neon Red, Icing Neon Green, Icing Neon Yellow, Icing Neon Pink (I couldn't find actual names on the Icing bottles so that about all you will get)

If you would like to see a tutorial for this mani Caitlin has created a tutorial here is the link: http://caitlinscreativecorner.blogspot.com/2012/04/tutorial-brushstroke-mani.html

Spring Time!

To welcome the first day of Spring I decided to do a spring mani! I'm hoping no more snow is coming to Seattle and just rain and hopefully some sunshine soon. For this mani I used Wet n Wild - I Need a Refresh-Mint and Color Club - Pink

I then added some spring time flowers using Color Club - Light Blue and Bundle Monster Plate BM 16

Then with a dotting tool and China Glaze - White on White I added the center of the flowers.

Hope you enjoyed and have a lovely First Day of Spring!!!

In Bloom

This is a very cute somewhat plain pink. I was going to dress it up in some glitter but got too lazy to add any so I just left it be. I made a big mistake over last weekend and ended up buying a base coat instead of a top coat, so at the moment I am completely out of top coat. Yes a very dumb move for me. I plan on going after work and buying more but at the moment my nails are bare.
