Teal Tuesdays - Dotticure

This is going to be a quick post before I get myself and my son ready for bed. I used 1coat of China Glaze Custom Kicks for my base, 1 coat of Pure Ice Oh Baby! over the base, then stamped with Konad Special White using Cheeky image plate CH11 and used my dotting tool along with Sally Hansen Jumpin' Jade, and to top it all off a coat of SV.

Challenge Day 14 - Flowers

 My absolute favorite flower are Stargazer Lillies. In fact my birth month flower (May) are Lillies. I saw this tutorial from Chalkboard Nails and just knew I had to do it. The base is China Glaze White on White, the pink is sponged on Sinful Colors Boom Boom (don't you just love the name?), the dark pink dots are Petites Pink Crush using a dotting tool and the green is Sally Hansen Ivy League.

Teal Tuesdays - Matte/Glossy

For this edition of Teal Tuesdays our challenge was to create a matte/glossy mani. For my base I used RBL Halcyon. Can you believe this is the only RBL polish I own? I absolutely love this polish, the color, the application, the formula. I love EVERYTHING except the price. $20 is a little steep in my book but I am happy I splurged and bought this otherwise I would be kicking myself in the butt right now. I then taped my nails diagnal and applied Jordana Boy Oh Boy and Essie Matte About You to create the matte look. To finish the mani off I used the dotting tool and added more Halcyon over the Boy Oh Boy.

Challenge Day 8 - Metallic

Getting straight to the mani I used 1 coat of Color Club Foil Me Once, taped off my nail and used 1 coat of China Glaze Adore. I then used my dotting tool and added the dots and of course SV for my top coat.

These last two pictures are with flash, so the color looks a little different.

Challenge Day 4 - Green

The last two nights I wasn't feeling up to painting my nails, so I didn't. Have any of you ever watched Lost? I know a couple of nail bloggers did a lostathon, well I started watching it and it has taken over my life. Allan and I are now on season 3 and it seems like they are finally getting to know the "others". Anyways while I was watching I created my green mani so honestly it isn't the best mani and I blame it on Lost and partially Allan he kept saying to me one more episode until it was midnight and by that time we had to wake up in 5 hours.
Ok on to the challenge, for the base I used 2 coats of Wet n Wild I Need A Refresh-Mint, then used a dotting tool and added dots of China Glaze White on White and on top of those white dots added dots of Zoya Ivanka.

Not my best but hey I have been consumed by Lost.

Adventures in Stamping - A Non Stamping Mani

So I didn't really know what I wanted to do for this mani, I just knew it had to be a non stamping mani but I didn't want to do anything boring. I started out with 2 coats of Sally Hansen Grey Area and 1 coat of Seche Vite.

Then I took a dotting tool and put some Sally Hansen Deep Purple and Sally Hansen The Real Teal and just used the dotting tool to rub the polish onto my nail. It didn't turn out how I wanted it to, but I'm content with it. I added another coat of Seche Vite for the final outcome.

Spring Time!

To welcome the first day of Spring I decided to do a spring mani! I'm hoping no more snow is coming to Seattle and just rain and hopefully some sunshine soon. For this mani I used Wet n Wild - I Need a Refresh-Mint and Color Club - Pink

I then added some spring time flowers using Color Club - Light Blue and Bundle Monster Plate BM 16

Then with a dotting tool and China Glaze - White on White I added the center of the flowers.
