Wild Night

I just found out it is World Autism Awareness Day from LuvMyLacquer. I actually did not plan to do this mani for Autism Awareness Day but I just thought it seemed fitting to show you since it is blue. For this mani I used 2 coats of Ulta Wild Nights which is a very deep navy blue and 1 coat of Warpaint Glow Turq which is a blue based fun glitter. I personally know 2 people, a coworker and a really close friend, who have children with Autism so it does affect me in a way. My coworker would tell me all these fantastic stories about her son and how he would hit major milestones in his life it was quite exciting! So here is my BLUE mani for World Autism Awareness Day.

Warpaint Glow Turq is a Glow-in-the-Dark nail polish and I just thought it would fun to show you the bottle in the dark.

My Homage to Wacky Laki

As you all know I posted last week that I will be participating in Homage Month for the month of April. You can find out what it is by clicking here. This is my homage to Wacky Laki, she was one of the first people I started following when I first got into blogging. Her designs and pictures are always perfect and I really enjoy reading her blogs. I decided to choose her mani Under the Sea because I loved the title and loved how it looked. Unfortunately I do not have a stamp plate with a image of a mermaid so I couldn't complete the mani. I did my best to recreate her wonderful mani and hope she will get to see this homage post for her. She is a real inspiration not to only me but to many others as well. Thank you Anutka for taking the time to write and share with us your great posts!

I started off with 2 coats of Sinful Colors Rise and Shine for my base.

I then sponged on Ulta Wild Night and Sally Hansen The Real Teal. After I stamped using Red Angel image plate RA-111 and Sally Hansen Silver Sweep. Added the black tips by taping my nail and using Wet N Wild Black Creme. Here was the outcome.

Can't wait to pay homage to more of the ladies who inspire me!
