Lav-Ish

I strayed off course again last night and wasn't able to create my gradient mani for the 31 Day Challenge, so for today I will show you a mani I did last week. I used 2 coats Ulta Lav-Ish for my base, Lav-Ish is a very subtle grayish purple with micro shimmer. For my accent nails I used Color Club Otherworldly  then I taped off my ring and thumb nails and used Ulta Lav-Ish. The accent nails were supposed to turn out as up arrows, but it's a bit hard to see.

I promise tomorrow I will get back on course with my 31 Day Challenge.

Birthday Haul

It isn't my birthday yet but my amazing boyfriend gave me my presents early. Two gift cards, one to Sephora and one to Ulta. So of course I didn't waste any time using them. I got Sephora by OPI the Bohemian Brights Mini Collection, China Glaze Capitol Colours collection, Zoya Ivanka, Zoya Charla, Zoya Mimi, China Glaze Sexy In the City, China Glaze Sex On the Beach, China Glaze Custom Kicks, Butter London Henley Regatta, Kat Von D Mad Max, Kat Von D Wonderchild, and my bestfriend Lisa got my a couple polishes that I had dupes of so I'm saving those for my giveaway.

Adventures in Stamping - Easter

Happy Easter everyone! Today in Adventures in Stamping we are suppose to do a Easter mani. I didn't have much to choose from with my stamping plates so I did a mixture of stamping grass and those little flowers that you blow and are suppose to make a wish sorry I don't know what they are called. First I painted each base a different pastel color. Thumb - Color Club Coral Cascade, Index - Wet n Wild I Need A Refresh-Mint, Middle - Color Club She's So Glam, Ring - Ulta Tutu Cute, Pinky - Color Club Meet Me At My Chateau

I then stamped using Red Angel plate RA-105 with Sinful Colors Innocent for the grass and China Glaze White On White for the flowers. Afterwards I used my dotting tool and made Easter eggs using all the colors I used for my bases.

Hope you all have a Happy Easter! We will finally be taking out the grill and having a barbeque with family!

Wild Night

I just found out it is World Autism Awareness Day from LuvMyLacquer. I actually did not plan to do this mani for Autism Awareness Day but I just thought it seemed fitting to show you since it is blue. For this mani I used 2 coats of Ulta Wild Nights which is a very deep navy blue and 1 coat of Warpaint Glow Turq which is a blue based fun glitter. I personally know 2 people, a coworker and a really close friend, who have children with Autism so it does affect me in a way. My coworker would tell me all these fantastic stories about her son and how he would hit major milestones in his life it was quite exciting! So here is my BLUE mani for World Autism Awareness Day.

Warpaint Glow Turq is a Glow-in-the-Dark nail polish and I just thought it would fun to show you the bottle in the dark.

My Homage to Wacky Laki

As you all know I posted last week that I will be participating in Homage Month for the month of April. You can find out what it is by clicking here. This is my homage to Wacky Laki, she was one of the first people I started following when I first got into blogging. Her designs and pictures are always perfect and I really enjoy reading her blogs. I decided to choose her mani Under the Sea because I loved the title and loved how it looked. Unfortunately I do not have a stamp plate with a image of a mermaid so I couldn't complete the mani. I did my best to recreate her wonderful mani and hope she will get to see this homage post for her. She is a real inspiration not to only me but to many others as well. Thank you Anutka for taking the time to write and share with us your great posts!

I started off with 2 coats of Sinful Colors Rise and Shine for my base.

I then sponged on Ulta Wild Night and Sally Hansen The Real Teal. After I stamped using Red Angel image plate RA-111 and Sally Hansen Silver Sweep. Added the black tips by taping my nail and using Wet N Wild Black Creme. Here was the outcome.

Can't wait to pay homage to more of the ladies who inspire me!

My New Pretties

Here are the pics from the last two days of shopping. Monday I went to Walmart and Tuesday I went to Ulta. Allan has told me that I am no longer allowed go to stores that carry nail polish which means we will only go to Best Buy and Frys. Haha that's what he thinks.
L to R: Pure Ice Jaguar, Pure Ice First Time, Pure Ice Strapless, Pure Ice Calypso, NYC Grand Central Station, Wet n Wild Gray's Anatomy, Wet n Wild Teal of Fortune, Hard Candy Beetle

L to R: Ulta Alter Ego, Ulta Chocolate Kiss, Ulta Fine Pruned, Ulta Back by Midnight, Ulta Magic Forest, Ulta Belle of the Ball, Ulta Glass Slipper, Ulta Concrete Evidence, Ulta Jaded, Ulta Indigo-Go Girl

It was Buy 1, Get 1 Free at Ulta so I had to take full advantage of that and I also got a set on clearace. So all together I saved about $22 at Ulta, which was about how much I paid for everything!
