Fast Track

It's been sooo long. Well so much has happened since I last posted, I went on vacation and saw my bestfriend in Cali. My son loved Disneyland and surpisingly so did my boyfriend. I will always love Disneyland at any age, it was also my first time to California Adventure because the last time I went to Disneyland, Cali Adventure had yet to be built. Anyways, after the vacation I ended up in the ER twice and found out that my ovarian cyst had grown triple the size and that I also had another cyst in my other ovary which was very small, so I had the surgery done to remove them. Thankfully my OBGYN didn't have to remove my whole ovary she was able to preserve most of my right overy and all of my left. After that I didn't feel like doing my nails much, I was always at work or at home too tired to do much. Then Christmas came and my bestfriend was in town and she persuaded me to do my nails and now I'm hooked again. Thanks Leece for giving me that small push I needed. Anyways I know Christmas has already passed but I thought I would show you my nails I did. This is 2 coats of Sinful Colors Nirvana for my base and 1 coat of China Glaze Fast Track. I then stamped with Konad Special Nail Polish White. For my thumb I used Bundle Moster plate BM-222 and for my Ring finger I used Red Angel plate RA-121. Teal Tuesdays - Dotticure

This is going to be a quick post before I get myself and my son ready for bed. I used 1coat of China Glaze Custom Kicks for my base, 1 coat of Pure Ice Oh Baby! over the base, then stamped with Konad Special White using Cheeky image plate CH11 and used my dotting tool along with Sally Hansen Jumpin' Jade, and to top it all off a coat of SV.

Challenge Day 12 - Stripes

I must be delusional becuase I ended up using another pink again, wow 2 days in a row! This mani looked comletely different in my head but I think the outcome was so much better than what I had planned in my head. It's a very subtle stripe mani but it reminds me of very elegant wrapping paper. Here's a fun and quick fact. OPI Hawaiian Orchid was my very first OPI I ever bought and it was originally supposed to be used for my trip to Hawaii last year (2011), but I ended up being boring and just did a Frech Tip Mani. Anyways as you already know my base used was OPI Hawaiian Orchid. The stripes are Konad Special Nail Polish Gold and Cheeky plate CH11. The bow is Konad Special Nail Polish White and Cheeky plate CH8.

Challenge Day 7 - Black and White

Good Morning and Happy Monday! The weekend felt way too short. We celebrated Mother's Day yesterday with my family, my brothers family and of course my mom and dad because my brother is out of town on the actual Mother's Day. It was fun we went to the casino and ate at the buffet, and after we ate we headed over to the outlets. I scored some new shoes at Nike Town so I was pretty happy and Julius got a ton of new clothes along with 2 new pairs of shoes. For my mani I used Sinful Colors Black on Black, China Glaze White on White, Konad Special White, Fauxnad MLS301 and Bundle Monster BM-208

Challenge Day 6 - Violet

Happy Cinco de Mayo! Before I show you my Cinco de Mayo mani I wanted to continue with my 31 Day nail challenge. So here is challenge day 6 - Violet. I wanted to try another technique that I hadn't mastered yet which is a gradient. For my base I used one coat of Ulta Tutu Cute, I then sponged on Ulta Plum Perfect and Ulta Tutu Cute. I stamped using Konad Special White and Cheeky plate CH26 and stamped the flowers on my ring fingers.

Adventures in Stamping - Inspired By Music

This weeks Adventures in Stamping is Inspired By Music and I got excited because I finally was able to use my music note stamps. WRONG! One of the rules was not to use any music notes, so I went back to the drawing board and couldn't think of anything. When finally it hit me at while I was at work, why not do the song I was obsessed with just a little back. It's a song from a Hawaiian artist named Anuhea, if any of you live in Hawaii you will definately know who I am talking about, she actually sang a song during the half time show of one of the Pro Bowl games. My absolute favorite song from her is called Crown Royal which happens to be my drink of choice. For this mani I used 2 coats of Sinful Colors Let's Talk, I then took a brush and drew on the Crown Royal using the Konad Special White nail polish, and for my ring I stamped with the Konad Special White and used Bundle Monster plate BM08. I then outlined each nail so it would look like thread with L'Oreal Paris Amazon's Flash.

Adventures in Stamping - Stamping over a gradient OR Stamping using 2 stamps

Our challenge for todays stamping in Adventures in Stamping turned out to be a tie between Stamping over a gradient or stamping using 2 stamps. I originally voted for stamping over a gradient because I hadn't actually done a gradient before and I thought it would be fun to try something new. Boy was I wrong, I was getting irratated because nothing was turning out the way I wanted so I decided to choose the other option stamping using 2 stamps. I used 1 coat of Color Club Meet Me At My Chateau, stamping over it with Konad Special White and QA16 stamp plate. I then used China Glaze Adore and Red Angel plate RA-109. I topped everything off with 2 coats of Wireless Holographic Top Coat, I really should have just used one coat.

Glee

Have you ever felt like you over did a manicure? Well that's how I felt when I was finished with this mani. The nail polish was already beautiful and I just think I ruined it by stamping over it. Oh well, thankfully I took pictures pre-stamping. For the base I used Jesse's Girl Glee.

Isn't it such a lovely color, reminds me of a mermaid.

And then I had to go and ruin it. I stamped over it with Konad Speacial Nail Polish White using Red Angel image plate RA-102 and topping it off with Seche Vite.

Let me know what you guys think, I think I either should have left it alone or stamped a smaller image.
