Teal Tuesdays - Dotticure

This is going to be a quick post before I get myself and my son ready for bed. I used 1coat of China Glaze Custom Kicks for my base, 1 coat of Pure Ice Oh Baby! over the base, then stamped with Konad Special White using Cheeky image plate CH11 and used my dotting tool along with Sally Hansen Jumpin' Jade, and to top it all off a coat of SV.

Teal Tuesdays - Matte/Glossy

For this edition of Teal Tuesdays our challenge was to create a matte/glossy mani. For my base I used RBL Halcyon. Can you believe this is the only RBL polish I own? I absolutely love this polish, the color, the application, the formula. I love EVERYTHING except the price. $20 is a little steep in my book but I am happy I splurged and bought this otherwise I would be kicking myself in the butt right now. I then taped my nails diagnal and applied Jordana Boy Oh Boy and Essie Matte About You to create the matte look. To finish the mani off I used the dotting tool and added more Halcyon over the Boy Oh Boy.

Teal Tuesdays - Free Day





I can't believe I almost missed a Teal Tuesday. Yesterday I was busy cleaning up that I didn't have the time to paint them so I decided I was just going to do the challenge today when I got home from work. Well, I ended up going over to my brother and sister in laws house for dinner so I didn;t get home until 9:30. When I got home I wanted to shower before I went to sleep, so here I am rushing to get this post in before midnight. It's 11:45PM here in Seattle, so I have 15 minutes to finish this. For my base I used 1 coat of Cult Nails Let Me Fly and added a coat of Cult Nails Hypnotize Me. It turned out beautiful, I'm very happy I got these polishes during the Cult Nails $5 sale.

Teal Tuesdays - Stars

Ok, sorry I lied...I didn't come back with a gradient mani like I promised for last Friday and I actually ended up taking a couple of days off from doing my nails, but I've been working overtime and feeling just too tired to do my nails, but you're in luck I have a great lineup for the rest of the week. But for now it's Teal Tuesdays and we voted on stars. Here's what I used 1 coat of Sinful Colors Rise and Shine for my base, 1 coat of Zoya Ivanka over the Rise and Shine, and Sinful Colors Black on Black for my stamping polish. For my ring finger and thumb I used Cheeky Plate CH26, and for the other fingers I used Bundle Monster Plate BM05. I top coated each nail with Seche Vite, Enjoy the photos! BTW In realy life you could see the teal shinging through but in these pictures all you can see is the green in Ivanka.

Teal Tuesdays - Abstract

Okay, now I'm on the move to getting back on track after the long relaxing weekend. We had an amazing SUNNY weekend in Seattle, I just had to take a couple days off to actually get out there and enjoy the weather. The rest of the week is supposed to be nice as well so I'm looking forward to that. I've been running a ton of errands trying to get my son's 3rd birthday party set and I'm almost done, just got to get a few things finished and I won't need to worry about it until the day before. It is Teal Tuesdays again and this weeks challenge is Abstract nail art. Whenever I think of abstract I think of shapes for some reason. Well here is my take on abstract nail art. I used 2 coats of Wet N Wild Teal of Fortune for my base, I should have used 3 but since I was going to cover up most of it I decided to do only 2 coats. I then taped some triangles and used 1 coat of Sinful Colors Black on Black and outlined each triangle with LA Colors Art Deco nail striper Silver. For my ring finger I used 1 coat of Sinful Colors Black on Black, taped using nail striping tape and painted over with Wet'n Wild Teal of Fortune.

Teal Tuesdays - Marble

This didn't turn out the way I expected, but I really did not want to do it all over again. First off I completely forgot to use a base color and mistake number two was putting on the glitter for the final touch, oh well. I used China Glaze Agro, China Glaze White on White, China Glaze Custom Kicks, and LA Splash Sparkling Oceanspray for the glitter.

I finished with white striping tape.

Teal Tuesdays - Circles

It's that time again....Teal Tuesdays! I honestly did not have an clue on what I was going to do for the theme circles. I tried and failed the first time so I took all my polish off and started over. I decided to try out the straw method once again and here is what I came up with. I used 2 coats of Sinful Colors Slate. I then dipped the straw in Sinful Colors Black on Black, Kissy and LA Colors Sea Siren.

I then used KleanColor Madly Matte to see how it would look Mattified. I think I like the matte version better, what do you guys think?

On a side note I broke 2 nails in just these past 2 days so I have decided to cut all of my nails down to nubs oh what a sad day it is.
