Teal Tuesdays - Accent Nail

Hello everyone! In todays edition of Teal Tuesdays our challenge was for us to do an accent nail. I couldn't really come up with anything exciting and I know I've done this color combo before but I just love how these colors go together so well. I started with 2 coats of Sally Hansen The Real Teal and 2 coats of Sally Hansen Lickety-Split Lime for my base of my accent nail. I then taped off the tips and painted my nails with the oppsite color. I then used Sinful Colors Black on Black and Salon Express image plate to stamp the sea turtle on my accent nail. Yes it's very simple, but that's where my name comes from Simple-and -Beautiful.

And I wanted to share with you all one of my five tattoos. This is a tattoo of a sea turtle and 2 plumeria flowers. It's very special to me because I got it when I went on my trip to Hawaii with one of my good friends, it was actually last year. I decided on a sea turtle because a) we went snorkeling and actually got to see a sea turtle in the ocean and b) the sea turtle represents longevity because they live for so long. All of my tattoo's are in black and gray, I never have been a real fan of color tattoo's, I think they look great on some people, just not me. The tattoo artist actually had me tell my life story in order to create this, the circular thing is suppose to represent a compass to help guide me through life and the stripes have to do with family, it was suppose to represent some type of mat that you weave so the pieces are intertwined. The faded background is suppose to represent waves.
