Acid Orange

Awww Saturday how I have missed you. I just love the weekend because it allows me to have all day to do my nails (if I want) normally that's not the case since I'm usually out running errands. So here is the post that I was suppose to put up yesterday but instead I was too mesmerized by Fantasy Fire's beuty. Anyways, here is one of the polishes I picked up from Hot Topics Warpaint Acid Orange. I must admit the formula wasn't easy to work with, this was 3 - 4 coats. The most trouble I had was with the cap it was huge and square and hard to hold the brush. The outcome of the polish was a bright in your face neon matte orange. On the lid of the polish it says it's a Black Light Polish, too bad I no longer have my black light, I would have liked to see the effects.

I ended up adding a coat of Seche Vite to see how it would look glossy.

Because it looked so plain Jane I added Color Club Hot Couture a pink based glitter.

Enjoy the weekend!

Fantasy Fire

Change of plans I was going to start out with swatching the Hot Topic Warpaint polishes I picked up on Wednesday, but I finally got my hands on Max Factor Fantasy Fire and just had to share. You all have probably seen this a million times but I think it's just too pretty to not post. I don't own Clarin 230 (Unicorn Pee) and I don't own Urban Decay Toxin and I don't own Nfu Oh 51, therefore I have the right to be amazed by this beauty. I used 2 coats of Revlon Royal and 1 coat of Max Factor Fantasy Fire with a top coat of Seche Vite. The bottle is pretty small but I don't mind because I only plan to layer Fantasy Fire and not wear it on it's own.

In my opion I love this color, it now is on my Top 20 list! If you don't have any polishes like it, I would definately recommend getting it.

Homage Month

This is such a great idea, I will definately be doing this for the month of April!

Do as many manicures you want a week!! (once a week or one everyday)
You can pay homage to as many or as little Nail Artists you’d like to!!
You can do multiple manicures from the same Nail Artist if you wish!!
What must be included in EVERY post:
Must link to the original post by Nail Artist!
Must tag the Nail Artist!
Include a Homage Month tag!
All posts should start…
My Homage to [insert Nail Artist linking to original post]…so everyone knows it’s for Homage Month. Then anything you wish!
You can do this any month you want. I’m doing it for the month of April

Blue Ray

I forgot to mention in my last post not only did I get all those beautiful polishes I also FINALLY went to see The Hunger Games, being a huge fan of the book I was a little surprised that the movie turned out a little dull to me. I liked the movie just thought it would be a little different.
Ok time for the mani! For this I used 2 coats of Essence Blue Ray a beautiful semi duochrome polish, I say semi because it takes a lot to be able to see the purple in the polish.

I added Sinful Colors Black on Black using Red Angel image plate RA-119 to my accent nails and used 1 coat of Seche Vite for the finished look.

I can't wait to go home and try out all my new polishes!!

Another Haul

Yesterday ended up being a pretty good day. Aside from being stressed and yelled at by a supervisor I actually ended the day very nicely. I went home to 4 packages waiting for me, I was really surprised at how quickly some of the things I ordered just over the weekend came. I felt like it was my birthday already! I had a huge cheesy smile on my face as I opened each package and my boyfriend just kept looking at me like I was a crazy person. So here are all the pretties I got.

Glee

Have you ever felt like you over did a manicure? Well that's how I felt when I was finished with this mani. The nail polish was already beautiful and I just think I ruined it by stamping over it. Oh well, thankfully I took pictures pre-stamping. For the base I used Jesse's Girl Glee.

Isn't it such a lovely color, reminds me of a mermaid.

And then I had to go and ruin it. I stamped over it with Konad Speacial Nail Polish White using Red Angel image plate RA-102 and topping it off with Seche Vite.

Let me know what you guys think, I think I either should have left it alone or stamped a smaller image.

Menta

Here's a quick swatch I did of Borghese Menta. I was at Rite Aid and saw this polish was on sale 75% off so I just had to take it home with me. It was orginally $8 but I got it for $2, I just love sales! It's a little boring but now that I'm looking at the pictures again I think it would look awsome matte. I may have to try that in the future. Menta was a smooth application, I used 2 coats and added a top coat of Seche Vite.

Sorry for the blurry pic something happened with my camera and I couldn't fix it.

Teal Tuesdays - Animal Print

The challenge in the Teal Tuesday group is Animal Print, so I decided I wanted to do zebra stripes. For this challenge I used Sally Hansen The Real Teal for my base and for the stamping I used Sinful Colors Innocent with Konad image plate m57. As for my ring finger I just reversed the colors. So here's my bright colored zebra!

On a side note: Wow the day has only started and I have already had a huge surprise. I got to work pretty early so I was just browsing through the newspaper "The Seattle Times" and to my surprise there was a huge picture of two girls I knew. They were in the paper promoting their concerts. Now let me give you some background on how I know them, I used to live with a bunch of friends and one of them started up a band (Dax) and Cat was in the band as the main vocalist with Stas on occasion being backup vocalist. The band didn't stay together due to school work and other things but I am really happy to see Cat & Stas make it. Their group is called THEEsatisfaction, you should totally check them out if like that old school hip hop vibe. So congrats Cat & Stas!

Fishnet Mani

How was everyones weekend? I had a very lazy weekend, had a little get together with some friends I haven't seen in months which was the highlight of my weekend. We also went out for dinner with Allan's family for his brother's birthday. Surprisingly I did not go to any stores and buy nail polish. When I realized that, I immediately went online and started shopping. It is an addiction, no shame. On to the mani.

Since I had my stamping kit out and was in complete stamping mode, I decided to do a fishnet mani. For this I used OPI Buble Bath for my base, then stamped over with Sinful Colors Black on Black and Konad image plate m57. I then taped off my tips and painted them with Black on Black as well.

Adventures in Stamping - Black and White

This weeks theme in Adventures in Stamping is a Black and White theme. I started off with 1 coat of Sinful Colors Black on Black. I then used Konad Special Nail Polish White and Red Angel image plate RA-114 to stamp on my design.

I felt like there was still something missing so I added Sinful Colors Black on Black on my tips. I also used Essie Matte About You for my ring finger although you can't really tell.
